Terms & Conditions

Please read these terms carefully before using Jinx!

Last updated: April 24, 2025 · Effective immediately upon account creation or use of the service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Jinx! ("the Service", "we", "us", "our") at jinxapp.co or app.wejinx.io, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not use the Service.

These terms apply to all users of Jinx!, including hosts who create and manage events and guests who access events using a shared entry code.

2. Description of Service

Jinx! is a web-based platform that allows event hosts to create private outfit coordination galleries for their guests. Hosts create an account, set up an event, and share a unique entry code with guests. Guests use that code to access the event and upload a photo of their planned outfit. All participants with the code can browse the gallery.

Jinx! is a one-time purchase service — there are no subscriptions. Each event is purchased independently.

3. Accounts and Registration

To create and manage an event, you must register for a Jinx! host account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
  • Keep your account credentials confidential and not share your login with others.
  • Notify us immediately at hello@wejinx.io if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
  • Be at least 18 years of age to create a host account.

Guest users do not require an account. Guests access events via a host-provided entry code and are not required to register.

4. Payments and Refunds

Each event on Jinx! is activated through a one-time payment. The available plans and prices are displayed on our Pricing page. All prices are listed in USD.

  • Payments are processed securely through our third-party payment provider.
  • Once an event is activated and paid for, the payment is non-refundable, except where required by applicable law.
  • The guest cap tier selected at payment cannot be changed after activation. To increase capacity, you would need to create a new event.
  • You are not charged any recurring fees. Each event is a single, one-time charge.

5. User Content

Hosts and guests may upload photographs and other content ("User Content") to Jinx! By uploading User Content, you grant Jinx! a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store and display that content solely for the purpose of operating the Service.

You represent and warrant that:

  • You own the User Content or have the necessary rights to upload it.
  • The User Content does not infringe upon the rights of any third party.
  • The User Content does not contain nudity, violence, hate speech, or any content that is illegal or inappropriate.

We reserve the right to remove any User Content that violates these terms or that we deem inappropriate, without notice.

6. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these terms.
  • Upload content that is defamatory, harassing, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or another user's account.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract the source code of the Service.
  • Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access or collect data from the Service.
  • Share entry codes for events you do not have authorization to distribute.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, design, logos, and software comprising Jinx! — excluding User Content — are the intellectual property of Jinx! and are protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws. You may not reproduce, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without our express written permission.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Jinx! and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or any other intangible losses.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific event giving rise to the claim.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms & Conditions. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.

12. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Jinx! operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
