Information you provide:

  • Host accounts: Name, email address, and password when you register.
  • Event details: Event name, date, description, cover photo, and any customization settings you configure.
  • Payment information: We do not store your full card details. Payments are processed by our third-party payment provider and subject to their privacy policy.
  • Guest uploads: Photographs uploaded by guests to an event gallery.
  • Contact form submissions: Name, email, and message content when you contact us.

Information collected automatically:

  • IP address, browser type, device type, and operating system for security and analytics purposes.
  • Pages visited, time spent on the Service, and referring URLs to understand how the Service is used.
  • Cookies and similar tracking technologies (see our Cookie Policy).

3. Guest Privacy

Guests who access events using an entry code do not create an account and are not required to provide a name or email address. The only data stored for guests is the photograph they upload and associated metadata (upload timestamp, file type). Jinx! does not track guests across sessions or across different events.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Service.
  • Process payments and send payment receipts.
  • Respond to support requests and contact form submissions.
  • Send essential service emails (e.g., account confirmation, password reset). We do not send marketing emails without your explicit consent.
  • Monitor and improve the performance and security of the Service.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

5. Data Sharing

We may share your information with trusted third parties only as necessary to operate the Service:

  • Host accounts: Retained for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion at any time.
  • Event data and guest uploads: Retained for 12 months after the event date, then permanently deleted unless you request earlier deletion.
  • Payment records: Retained for 7 years as required by financial regulations.

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Rectification: Request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Erasure: Request that we delete your personal data ("right to be forgotten").
